About Me

My name is Mel Bonthuys, and I am a South African – British massage and lymph drainage therapist, who resides in Scotland.

After working in the veterinary industry for 8 years, I decided to change my stressful career after years of struggle with acute anxiety and panic disorder.

I did my initial massage training in my native South Africa, and furthered my massage knowledge once I was living in the United Kingdom.

After doing a short course in deep tissue and lymph drainage, I decided that I wanted to specialize more in these two things, and I continue to upskill in these areas, including achieving a qualification in lymph drainage for post op surgeries.

Apart from deep tissue massage and lymph drainage training, I am also a reiki master and qualified reflexologist, so the combination of these skills and my stress management experience is ideal for those seeking pain relief, improved circulation and / or overall relaxation.

I am fully insured and am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, giving you peace of mind to my qualifications.
